Wildlife Tracking

$0.00

This interactive workshop invites participants to use observation skills to recognise the signs animals leave behind. Participants explore the environment using survey flags to mark discoveries such as footprints, scats, scratch marks, nests, burrows, feathers and other evidence of wildlife activity. Along the way, we'll investigate how different habitats support different species, and learn to identify common native animals through their tracks and traces.

One of the highlights of the workshop is creating a keepsake plaster cast of an animal track. Using quick-setting plaster, participants make a mould of a real footprint to take home, creating a lasting reminder of their encounter with the wild.
